Around the World in 245 Days Itinerary
When you think of epic trips a cruise around the world comes to mind. Viking Cruises has announced such a trip starting on August 31, 2019. The Viking Sun will debark from London, England on its 245 day adventure, which will visit every continent except Antarctica.
During the voyage, the Viking Sun will call on 113 ports in 59 countries. The itinerary has 22 overnight stays in port, which allow passengers more times to explore the area.
This voyage being dubbed the “Ultimate World Cruise” will be limited to 930 passenger. Fares start at 92,990 per person for the entire itinerary. Viking Cruise has offered two standalone segments for those passengers that don’t want to experience the enter 245 day cruise. The first segment fare is $47,995 per person and includes 127days. The second segment fare is $45,995 per person and includes 119 days.
Passengers will receive the normal complimentary shore excursions in each port and free unlimited Wi-Fi. For the Ultimate World Cruise, passengers will receive business flights to the ship, airport transfers, on-board gratuities, service fees, and extras to complement their voyage. Customers that book the full cruise by December 31, 2018 will receive an extra $4,000 shore excursion credit and a $2,000 on-board credit for use on the ship.
The Viking Sun is one of four Viking Cruises designated for ocean travels. The Sun was delivered in September 2017. The ship is smaller than the mega ships by other cruise lines at 47,800 gross tons. The capacity is 930 passengers with 465 veranda only staterooms, and 260 crew members.
