Carnival Legend Upgrade Planned
The Legend is the next ship scheduled in Carnival’s fleet to get many of the Fun Ship 2.0 upgrades that has already been rolled out too many of her sister ships. The multimillion dollar will include major upgrades and refurbishment. The Carnival Legend is scheduled to enter dry dock May 1 until May 14.
Carnival Legend Upgrades
The Carnival Legend has some Fun Ship 2.0 upgrades like RedFrog Pub, Bonsai Sushi, Cherry On Top, Hasbro – The Game Show, and Playlist Productions. The ship went through the last refurbishment in 2014. During this 14-day drydock, the ship will be upgraded with the Alchemy Bar, Blue Iguana Cantina and Guy’s Burger Joint.
In addition, the ship will receive new or upgrades spaces, paint, technical upgrades, and decorations. The two week drydock time allows the cruise line to spruce up the ship that cannot perform on a normal voyage. Carnival will release additional drydock details and plans in the next couple of weeks.
Voyage to the Fun Transformation
The Carnival Legend is current on a repositioning cruise from Sydney, Australia to Honolulu, Hawaii. This is the last sailing of the seasons for the Legend in Australia. The repositioning cruise is her first step to entering drydock. On April 20,2018, the Legend will set sail for a 11-night cruise to Vancouver, Canada before entering drydock in Portland, Oregon on May 1st.
The Carnival Legend will spend the summer in Alaska with embarkations from Seattle, Washington. The ship will itineraries included: Juneau, Skagway, Glacier Bay or Tracy Arm Fjord, Ketchikan, and Victoria. On September 13, the Carnival Legend will start the positioning process to Australia, with a sailing from Vancouver, BC, Canada, to Honolulu, Hawaii. The ship will depart Honolulu on September 24, 2018, on an 18-day voyage including calls in Papeete, Moorea and Bora Bora. The ship will began services in Australia on October 13.
